I am a practicing clinician, a recent doctoral graduate who finally graduated school but will never leave school, a huge technology lover, a man constantly fighting off the fat, and a father.
Soooo this happened. I didn’t realize that IQ testing was used for CAPITAL PUNISHMENT. What the heck?! So part of our training has been administering and interpreting IQ assessments with a range of tests including the heavy hitters in the Stanford Binet and Wechsler scales – in both cases, there is still a good degree of error and interpretation and application of the IQ score is always supposed to be under extreme caution. Interpretation of a single number can have a huge effect but I never imagined it to be a life and death situation. It kind of blows my mind that this would happen and as the article linked below states- there’s plenty good reason for an inmate to lie on an IQ assessment to SAVE HIS LIFE. There are methods to limit the effects of lying, but nothing is fool proof and placing so much on one test just really blows my mind. I mean we already struggle with diagnosing a learning disorder for funding- now we are diagnosing whether somebody should die or not? Yikes. Glad I’m not that psychologist doing this stuff
Enjoying another rainy day on campus. Enjoying the new view of quad from the science building.
Exploring the science building and ended on the roof top.
Studying in one of my old haunts in Rutherford Library. Pretty quiet and quite good for studying. Really pushed me out of my comfort zone in my office and I just worked on my school stuff.
W made beef stew. I died. It is my absolute fave.
Shrimp and egg.
Lots of flowers blossoming over campus now- its really a great time to be studying haha. I feel so invigorated with all the greenery and fresh blossoms.
Old lecture hall in ETLC building where I had tons of intro courses like Chem 102 that drove me nuts.
I found this in one of the engineering buildings and had a decent study in it. I love how multi level this classroom is- its quite steep.
Lots of fresh blossoms.
I don’t know what trees these are- I never really liked botany
The tulips blossomed first on campus.
Matching the Butterdome yellow.
Enjoying the jung season. Lots of sticky rice everywhere.

Chinese take out at my folks place. Honey garlic ribs to die for. So crispy and so sweet. And so fat.
My dad’s mirrorless cam. Its kind of crazy how big the K-01 Pentax is- its mirrorless but nearly the size of most consumer DSLRs because it kept the old APS-C K mount still.
Chinese cake for taste testing and anniversary celebrating.
My nemesis has arrived. They love me way too much and I itch way too hard.
Rain rain all day. I really enjoy the grey right now.
Spring salad. Or trying to. I don’t even know where these strawberries came from.
View out of my study space in Bio Sci.
Going for a study break in the museums in EAS building.
OOOH GLOWING. I also don’t really follow geology so that’s all I can say. Glowing.

More rocks I don’t know about
Tried to study in the paleontology museum
I love this fish. Its so crazy looking.
Putting up some study space in the Business building. You can tell I am taking a grand tour of campus every other day.

Shrimp sandwhich
Managed to snag a MemoryExpress deal of the day when stock showed up randomly.
Now I have about 15000 mah of portable battery power! This is going to come in handy when I head out for camping.
