I am a practicing clinician, a recent doctoral graduate who finally graduated school but will never leave school, a huge technology lover, a man constantly fighting off the fat, and a father.
Some days I just have such an exciting workout that every piece of the workout is awesome. Today is leg day and I got to try two new exercises on top of my regular workout. First off was squats and leg presses. In particular, my leg press felt awesome and solid. It felt like it was in control and getting stuff done. My squat was also awesome and I felt in control and getting close to the floor.
I find leg press the hardest one in my leg workout so feeling solid here was super awesome.
Next up was calf raises, which isn’t as exciting, but necessary. Its hard to build calves.
Lastly, I threw in standing and seated leg curls, hitting my hamstrings and quads. By the time I got to my quads, my legs were done and I was only curling 40 lbs with both legs! But it was nice, because I felt like I had totally exhausted my muscles out. A satisfying workout today for sure.
