Blog yoga and pho Posted by Elliswordpress on January 26, 2015January 26, 2015 Looking out over the high level bridge from a friend’s balcony- so so so slick. I cannot imagine how good the fireworks would be from this vantage point V’s Sanwiches has a really nice selection of Veitnamese food- this is their special house combo. The meatball pho had a ridiculous amount of meatballs. I got the Vietnamese subs- two of them because I love them so much- this is the cold cut – I love the liver pate inside. W made a really nice Salisbury steak dinner with eggs last night. The mushrooms were divine. After a ridiculous night of hot Moksha yoga, I was absolutely in need of sodium- we went to Teapsy on Whyte and it was so so so good. The atmosphere was fabulous- I loved the lighting in here. Service was really good- staff were friendly and helpful I had the special chicken rice bowl with grass jelly bubble tea- it was spicy and perfectly seasoned the way I like it. The bubble tea was quite good as well- very fresh tasting and there wasn’t a hint of powder base in it. We had the “less spicy” wontons and they were ridiculously soaked in chili oil. I loved it, but W needed to wash teh chili off in her ice water. W had the assorted BBQ meat on rice- this was again super solid and piping hot but it had an extra spice kick only I could appreciate. W ate it anyways. Really happy with the food here. We played a mini game of pool- it was terribly difficult but ridiculously fun. It was a nice wind down from the yoga. I handled the Sony PHA-2 Headphone Amp again and I really want it- i want to be able to use my full sized cans away from the computer. Drool. Moksha yoga is CRAZY – I already overheat a lot and to do physical exertion in 40 degrees is like insanity. I can see why people do it though- it felt really good in the beginning and I really did feel like I went through a cleanse- but I barely was standing at the end of it and it was really hard not to faint. The sweat pouring out felt really amazing though and the shower after was solid awesome. They had some kind of soap in the showers that actively cooled the skin and it was super satisfying.
