Enjoying the amazing afternoon sun out in the river valley and a great walk
Loving the serenity of summer
OPTIMAL BLOOD PRESSURE. Blaming stairs for getting my pump going so well- I’m clocking in six sets a run now at times.
Landed my dream camera! The Sony DSC-R1 is AMAZINGLY FUN. Its 11 years old, and has such a rich history for me. I spent countless hours reading about it on DPreview and DCresource. Gonna have a write up on it soon. Very happy with this find. I’ve been shooting with it a lot lately.
Meat combo at T&T Supermarket- actually really good and great portions of meat. Big fan for sure
I havent seen bbq spare ribs before and they were quite tasty
more dreary weather in the city- but I quite enjoy it- it definitely breaks up the monotony here, and I always love a good storm
grey skies all around with lots of greenery. Going to miss this when winter comes along
Dim sum with the folks
the Ja Leung at Tasty Noodle is SUPERB- probably one of the best I have had- very crispy dough
Ocotopus fried rice- nice light flavor to it- big fan of the stone bowl- it kept the rice nice and hot
H pooped on grandpa- completely and totally, and it even hit the ground- the poor waitress thought it was curry and tried to clean it up- I stopped her
H checking out the seafood at T& T Supermarket
OMFG RCF. So jealous of this car. I know reviews aren’t hot, but I get such a tickle looking at it
More rain in the city- today is the last day I get to look out this view, as we move back to our old digs, and a completely new center. At least for me, I got to have a giant high rise office – one of the things I always wanted to have, and a great unobstructed view to boot too
Summer is CRAZY for private practice- I’ve been told that summer dies down a lot because of kids on summer vacation and such, but dang this was quite a drop. Makes me happy I kept up with the salaried practice in the clinic as well.
HEading home – enjoying night shifts because it is freeing up my weekends. Its not as bad as I thought it would be- I can get through the day alright.
Gonan miss this too- tehre was a peregrine falcon nest on top of our clinic roof, and sometimes we got little surprises like this in session
Chicken donair poutine- SO SO SO good. With sweet sauce in particular
W managed to score a deal on Birkenstock sandals for me! Pokemon Go promotion at the Bay for 20% off, 20 dollar gift card on purchases over 100, and 20% off sale. I’m ignoring my Clark’s dad sandals a lot now, cause I love my white Birkenstocks so much.
Having brunch at Market
Breakfast chicken tacos- not bad, but not mind blowing either
W had a chipotle burger and a very salty tomato cream soup
Saw this fabulous piece of art at Winners.
Enjoying a stoll outside of Churchill Square. Really enjoying summer right now.
Beautiful days outside
Shooting with the R1 in manual mode and quite enjoying it. Freezing the spray and capturing the EPL
The R1 shoots moderately ok at low light, but it doesn’t hold a candle to modern cameras-. It is clearly a monster jump ahead of previous flagships however.
last meals in Toronto- abalone and bok choy- still not certain what the big hoolah over abalone is- in particular, the larger one is supposed to be particularly tender…and it was the same to me.
Simple noodle bowl for breakfast, and quite welcome
Steamed fish. I’m definitely appreciating steamed fish more these days, despite me hating it before
Fruit drinks with lighted cubes- basically meh tasting drinks with lots of light.
Catching the flight home- as much fun as it is, to get away from it all, it feels great to be coming home where you can just be yourself.
Flying out.
Watching some movies on the flight and totally enjoying the unclaimed middle seat for H to sleep on, and give us tons of room for the flight!
Enjoying the greenery in Edmonton- camera got stuck in Illustrator mode
The river valley is gorgeous in the summer
So much greenery
Enjoyign soem food out in City Market- the paninis were amazing
Lots of fresh great looking selection- have to say their cakes were pretty run of the mill though
Hot hot paninies, and pizza and calzones. My first clazone, and it was amazing
This would be the death of me- this is straight up candy disguised as cereal
Totally odd looking sausage- blueberry flavored and looking like a bruised piece of meat
