I am a practicing clinician, a recent doctoral graduate who finally graduated school but will never leave school, a huge technology lover, a man constantly fighting off the fat, and a father.
Geese in the park- didn’t really need the telephoto lens for this- the geese walked right up to us.
Going through Hawrelak Park at dusk. Its now a mosquito haven.
Found a white Sony VAIO Duo 13 for sale at Best Buy the other day. Really excited to see a Sony VAIO for sale still in store. Alas it was used and obviously a demo model that had been physically broken from the security bar over gripping the side. I really love and miss the whole design scheme with the VAIO arm. I must admit I was tempted to get this but the poor condition saved my wallet.
Picked up some pre-workout and new whey from Shoppers Drug Mart- I’m focusing more on my diet now and trying to have a complete focus on health. First time having pre-workout and I must admit its not too bad. It does help with the focus and drive, and seems to help me go a little longer without fatigue. The whey is pretty good as far as whey goes. I usually get the GNC house brand, so this is a nice change up.
My two Logitech PErformance MX mice both decided to go absolutely nuts with double clicking- read up this was an issue with the spring internally and took it apart- didn’t see anything wrong with the spring but when I put it back everything worked perfect!
Car wash- need to do this more often to keep out little Fit in better shape.
Got to try out this space club’s telescope with 1200X power – saw Jupiter and incredible close ups of the moon’s surface.
Local rabbit chilling under the shade.
Sweet and sour fish.
Egg plant and beef stew
Lemon tea- decided I like milk tea much more.
Picked up soup for once- not too bad, definitely enjoyed it.
HK style spaghetti. Slightly sweeter than typical spaghetti and not too bad at all.
Really gross spicy noodles- like eating noodles with buffalo wing sauce.
Wraps over at N’s place-not too bad and all vegan filling.
Got to try Japonais Bistro’s chef special with a huge spread of items for just 20 bucks. I quite like the fresh oysters.
Fmaily lunch at Urban China- really fresh dm sum and not as expensive as it used to be- the price didn’t rise up much, but every other dim sum place has risen, so its relatively similar to the competition. Problem is the huge line up to get in.
Tried out Cafe Mosaics with H, A and W. Really good vegan food and lovely design inside. I really liked the decor – fresh and exciting.
Vegan burger- not too bad at all- mostly made of beans.
Something rancheros egg dish. Not too bad at all. I quite liked the service at Cafe Mosaics and the food here.
Excited to use a meat hammer thingy- definitely introduced a new level of tenderization for my meats and made them extra nice.
Waited FOREVER to try to get into a food truck at What the Truck- didn’t get in one (probably 60-70 person wait at each truck) and all the restaurants were full nearby- ended up at Famoso and had a blast with friends over excellent pizza.
H and S’ s wedding- tasty food at Golden Rice Bowl…and I lost my lens cap that is very lens specific. Blah. Great time with friends- realized why people have zoom lenses in shoots- lens switching was a pain in the butt and really disrupted the flow of shooting. Unfortunately there isn’t much available for e-mount in the professional sense.
Relaxing at the Hotel Macdonald with friends and drinks. I quite like this lounge area and the excellent conversation.
