EURGHHHHHH. So after an ok, not great set of lower back two weeks ago, I started to have really bad neck cramps. Thinking I pulled something, that was thankfulyl in my lower back like before, I then did a Google doctor inquiry and found lots and lots of deadlifters with neck pain- its from poor posture.
The key is to keep the spine straight and to keep the eyes 90 degrees to the back as your lift- Of course, I recall looking up after each rep and bam- now its hard for me to shoulder check. I can barely move my head in the morning. So that’s been two weeks of pain.
So this week I bring back weights again after running and bam! Neck pain again, especially after shoulders day- I guess there are too many compound exercises that use the neck- so nowI’m back to stretching my neck and not being able to move it well. Sigh.
So I figure, I’m going to be running now for two weeks instead. Should be ok. I have my new Nike Air Maxs to take care of that pesky flat foot and …
BAM! Foot pain! All these months of using ill fitting work shores have struck me severely and now I have a terrible limp after today’s run. So looks like its going to be eliiptical training for me for two weeks at least. While this is annoying, I do find humor in being injured trying to be healthy.
On my latest run, I found this neat little nook area that looked like a fabulous place to shoot portraits in. I’ll be back.
Out for a walk – cool but sunny and a really nice day to be with good company.
I LOVE THE SURFACE 3. Its abosolutely mind blowingly better than the Surface RT- its way lighter and more balanced in the hand and its a lot lot lot more powerful. The 4:3 aspect ratio is much better for tablet use- I just can’t justify buying one- I got mine for a 199 carry everywhere office machine- this is at least 640 CDN. Too much for a side machine. I definitely definitely would not mind having one of these though.
I got to try the new Apple watch. Definitely liked it, definitely would get it if I was an Apple fan. Must admit I am tempted to get Android Wear, seeing how much development is going into it and how good the Sony Smartwatch 3 looks in metal. But I’m kind of numb from seeing the lack of support and crappy connection stability on my Smartwatch 2- I will likely hold out for Sony’s next gen Android Weat.
Kyoto had a nice dinner spread.
Dinner at Kyoto- really liked the intimacy of the booth here for W and I.
Rostizado with WK for bday dinner.
Delicious pork and chicken cuts. Seriously delish.
I love the atmosphere in Rostizado- its a nice cozy feel inside and the staff and very hospitable.
Found a new Korean restaurant- small and a hole in the wall, it offered nice service and good food at reasonable prices.
I had chicken and rice rolls.
The korean food here was ok- not mind blowing but good for the price.
Seafood Korean pancake- this was nice.
Movie night with M- lots and lots of McDonald’s and KFC with movies- Into the Storm was actually awesome- it was much better than I thought it would be- its like an updated Twister with better graphics and maybe more urgency.
Last of the river ice as spring starts to really pick up.
Congee at Good Buddy.
Ying Yang fried rice.
Salted fish e-mein- not that good.
Pan fried chicken for dinner- one of my faves for sure.
IKEA Food for dinner- salmon for W.
Beef rib and Swedish meatballs for me with vegetable medallions.
Parents picked up assorted noddles for Sunday special price of 6 bucks a box. Pretty good deal.
I can’t remember what all these were- I just really like noodles and ate it all up.
This was my fave for sure.
The Pad Thai was not my fave- definitely needed more flavor.
Simple dinner- noodles and cabbage.
Baby shower cookies.
Deep blue spring skies in the city.
Fire with friends- shooting at ISO 25600! One of my fave things to do.
It was pitch black at night and it was absolutely freezing but the fire was hot and cozy
Spring buds peeking around the corner. Too bad I can’t enjoy the greenery because my body is in so much pain right now.
