I am a practicing clinician, a recent doctoral graduate who finally graduated school but will never leave school, a huge technology lover, a man constantly fighting off the fat, and a father.
Took my Sony 55-210 lens out for a spin after a Sat night party with my classmates. Snapped up a few hand held shots of downtown core.
Really impressed with this combo- the light A6000 and the OSS in the 55-210 mean really decent shots despite the lack of a tripod and the relatively dark lens – just a much higher ISO than I would have been able to use with my old Nikon D90 set up.
Its a great view from the southside of the river- my friend has a great apartment 12 floors up to look at this every night.
Downtown legislature in the back
Its just so pretty. I could stare at this stuff for hours, except it was totally freezing.
High level bridge
My little jet plane- can’t believe how awesome this car has been for me.
Saskatchewan drive had a radar car at 12am – didn’t think it got busy enough at that time to have a radar car out.
I love this little hill drive.
Walking around one of the gazebos downtown at night.
Passed this cozy little residence on university campus- I’d love to live here- I bet the stairs would get real tiring though, especially with groceries or big packages
I love all the covered walkways.
THIS WAS AWESOME. Java chip triple shot frapp- I usually don’t like drinks that are not coffee or milk, but this thing was a grandslam- the little chocolate bits were realyl good.
Dessert and snacks at Tasty Choice soutside- rice rolls and delicious toast. My drink was pretty meh- way too light to be HK milk tea for me.
Dessert at Upper Crust- this was really delicious and easily one of the top 5 desserts I had ever eaten.
Rice pudding – good too but not like the sticky toffee pudding.
An orange cake- light and delish.
We had dinner with an old prof and it was absolutely splendid. I just absolutely love the stories and life teachings from those with deep life experiences- just so many things that you can’t get from your peers at the same developmental level.
The lighting was cozy and fabulous. I love intimate conversations over dinner.
W made an amazing breakfast sandwich- eggs and ham with Italian Wedding soup.
University campus on a grey spring day. I can’t believe its almost been a year since I took spring courses and had the time of my life. Man time flies. I’m an absolute advocate in living in the here and now and its just amazing what’s happening in your hands right now when you stop and breath it in.
This was disgusting- cold Oprah chai latte- it was cold milk- I guess I can’t expect much from an iced latte. The funny thing is that the Oprah edition drinks are supposed to be charitable drinks, but Starbucks was doing a buy one get one free on them- so ….less donations are being sent out…and the drinks don’t taste that good. I’ll stick with my coffee drinks. As much as I like the fancy words in tea lattes, I just don’t really like them.
I am an avid hockey fan but also a fan of business entrepreneurs like Daryl Katz. His family pharmacy empire grew tenfold under his direction and management. He paid $200 million for the Edmonton Oilers . in 2008 and he is currently working to refocus his efforts to build Canada’s largest mixed use-sports and entertainment district. He is by far one of the most successful businessmen in North America. I am looking forward to seeing how he helps to take this team to the next level and what is next venture will be. He is really focusing on helping Edmonton become a fantastic tourist destination.
