I am a registered psychologist, a doctoral candidate who has not graduated, a huge technology lover, a man constantly fighting off the fat, and a father.
Got to try out Origin India dinner buffet the other night- although one of my unwritten rules about ethnic food is that its really good if the ethnic groups are actually populating the joint, I have to say that didn’t hold true here- there were no east Indian customers- there were a ton of Asians and Caucasians though haha. We added another table of Asians here. Anyways, the food was good.
I quite liked the atmosphere here and the setting was clean and well kept.
Getting my food- really liking the surprises under the lids. Selection was small but quality was good.
I loved the meats- lamb, chicken and more chicken. Very tender and well flavored. I don’t consider myself a gastro scientist, so who knows it could have been terrible by East Indian standards- regardless, I loved it. I wonder if its the same as people raving about how good Pineapple Chicken Balls are with their Chow Mein.
Had a nice night drive to work off the curry- huddled under the High Level Bridge and checking out the lights.
Zooming in on the bridge lights- I got to figure out long exposures on telephoto-I’m not getting the sharpness I want here.
W made a really nice salmon pasta dish, baked with flaky crust.
IKEA dinner- beef rib (very very small!) and 10 meatballs to make me full. I really like the vegetable medallions.
Home made ma po tofu. Originally tried it without beef, but it really needs that tasty meat flavor.
This came in the mail- super cheap (1/5 the MSRP!) refurbished ICD-TX50 super slim voice recorder- needed it for back up for my research interviews. Pretty impressed with its MP3 playback sound of all things. I don’t know if I will use it as a DAP- its really limited navigation wise.
The recorder compliments the more tech saavy ICD-SX733. One beauty, one brain.
Pushign hard and feeling really really solid with this weekend’s workouts.
Diet pepsi and 1 L of water to power my workout. Feeling a huge pump from this.
Alternating every week between machine bench press and dumbbell bench press- keeping it fresh and exciting- 8 sets of 10 reps at 200lbs. I love watching previous workouts on the bodypsace app.
Decline bench press- 200 lbs 8 sets of 8 reps. Finally found the right position for the bench so that I was targeting my lower pecs with full range.
My grip is getting huge- since pushing hard on my deadlifts, my grip has been awesome and I have been seeing some nice gains with my hand grip squeeze thing- its not even considered equipment on bodyspace, so I can’t record it on my app.
Dips to end it all. Beautiful spring sun coming in from the window.
