I am a practicing clinician, a recent doctoral graduate who finally graduated school but will never leave school, a huge technology lover, a man constantly fighting off the fat, and a father.
Getting my achievement on- made a bet to have a personal achievement goal every day with S and O- mine is clinical reading 10 pages a day. Today I focused on social withdrawal in kids, important because I am running into a lot of shyness in my clinic cases. Trying to figure out next steps and what is clinically significant shyness compared to normal shyness.
Celebrated V’s successful doctoral defense on Monday (!) with dinner at Taipan. Ordered tomato pork chop on fried rice. Super tasty and fresh. Very filling.
V got lemon tea and I had cold HK style milk tea of course
Steamed salty chicken was not salty. It was fresh but it needed salt. A lot of salt.
Hot plate tofu, shrimp on green pepper and shrimp on egg plant. Pretty tasty and exciting to have hot plate.
Deadlifts for the first time with my new weights. I finally don’t have to have a mess of 10 lb plates. Did 7 sets of 6 at 290 lbs and then 2 reps at 310 lbs. Feeling good about lower back today.
Data collection time for my doctoral work. The Sony ICD-SX733 is super handy, easy to use and it looks good with its three mic system. A little worried about the building testing out its fire alarm system today but it didn’t go off till I was done my interviews.
