I am a practicing clinician, a recent doctoral graduate who finally graduated school but will never leave school, a huge technology lover, a man constantly fighting off the fat, and a father.
That’s David Usher. SO CLOSE. Our standing area was unreal close to the stage.
Somebody snagged the setlist – so jealous. This was another slick spot right behind the stage. I loved their lvie version of Ophelia. I was so so so feeling the music. It was one of my first albums ever- Grade 8 Big Shiny Tunes 1. Could not believe how much that music hit my soul. I was told that my love was radiating. Almost as much as when I got to hold hands with David freaking Usher
WE WERE SO CLOSE. I held hands with David Usher. Not shook hands. Held hands. I’m never washing my hands again. That’s the closest to celebrity fandom I have gotten to somebody I actually cared about.
I don’t normally go to clubs, so it was a loud and stimulating experience. I felt like an old man in the club, except for some reason, there were actually much older demographics here. Like 50-60 year old couples. Moist must have a huge following across all ages. So killer to be with friends.
Moist live in concert with friends at union hall. This is Forrester opening up.
I got a pic with Smashing Satellites, an opener for Moist. I really liked their live act. It was super entertaining and the drum line was superb. They told me I could beat the singer in an arm wrestle. My life just peaked.
Hot pot with friends!
As much as I think hot pot is boring in taste, it is exciting to do with friends and family and I can’t deny that. PhD programs tend to kill social lives so having friends over is a massive burst of fun. Some seafood on the plate

The steak was too tough for boiling. It needed to be super thin in slicing.
SNOW HAS COME. So much snow. So much delay in transit. Much hate on transit. Took an hour to get home, a 600% increase in time.
Everyone huddled under the inside heat lamps.
Stomping through the snow with my winter boots.
Abs day- cracking out the weighted incline ab crunches.
Captain seat leg raises. The mat prevents my back from directly being stabbed by the cable machine.
My fave store, London Drugs carries the PHA-2. This is why I love LD- they carry enthusiast level equipment in store compared to most brick retailers like Futureshop or Best Buy which generally cater to the mass market. I would love to listen to this bad boy.
One of Sony’s new XB line of cans- generally pretty muddy sounding so nothing impressive. The style is much better than the old XB headphone line though. I also wanted to emphasize that I shot this whole album on my Sony Z3- it simply would have been too hard to bring a camera into the club and shoot impromptu shots like I got at stage with the crowd pushing in from every corner. So impressed with camera technology in cell phones and with my powerhouse Xperia Z3. Definitely a Sony fanboy after that concert.
