Made a nice curry dish with chicken, potatoes and carrots. Curry is one of my fave comfort foods.
Dinner at Taiwan Bubble Tea- shredded pork on rice. Kind of meh.
Sweet vinegar pork ribs in soup- very fresh and good flavors in this one.
Taiwan fried chicken- SO GOOD. Crispy, salty and tasty.
Friends and Neighbors on Whyte ave offers both American and Vietnamese dining. Mom had the eggs benedict.
Spicy Pho was a good match for the cold October weather.
This was the worst dish I have had in awhile. Brother in law really liked this mango apple hot plate- it was just mango and apple though! With chicken. No seasoning. I felt like I was eating an Orange Julius shake with a chicken breast shoved inside.
Baklava at Remedy cafe- super crispy and fresh.
Chair latte at Remedy.
Yum cha downtown- bolo bau with cha siu inside. So good. But cold. We got in at the end of dim sum service.
More dim sum.
Studying/marking at Remedy cafe at their new location at 124st. Super cozy here with fresh snow falling outside.
Everyone was studying inside here. It was really conducive to doing work.
Bath bomb from Lush. It wasn’t as exciting as I thought it would be- it shoots a whole bunch of foam out but it wasn’t like a super bubble bath or anything.
Rostizado – a new hip restaurant in the city with really delicious pork and chicken roast that you pop into the tortillas.
Nice atmosphere inside.
Fresh churros for dessert. Service was amazing here and everyone was super friendly and helpful.
Walking around downtown. It was getting chilly in the city.
Got to finally listen to the MDR-Z7s in the Sony Store. They sounded fabulous with a nice rich bass. I’m not convinced they are worth the 699 with the cans that I already own. I might be skipping this one. I still love the ZX1 Walkman. I didn’t get a chance to listen to the new PHA3 headphone amp though. It woudn’t connect with my device. I loved how luxury feeling all the joints were on the Z7- they made a device that really felt like you paid for what you got. This was one of my complaints of my MDR-SA3000. While their MSRP is the same, the SA3000 don’t feel like a 699 dollar set of cans. The Z7 had much better bass response than the SA3000.
Still wanting this MDR-Sa5000 flagship can that was the predecessor to the MDR-Z7. The Z7 felt as premium as the SA5000 in that there was a generous amount of magnesium and leather used throughout the design. Not my image.
The QUALIA headphones are still my unicorn cans that I would love to even touch nevermind own one day. Not my image.
Got to finally order in my Sony XPERIA Z3 in copper yesterday! I really loved this color and look in hand. The stereo speakers and sound quality were pretty solid and the unique color combination was a winner in my books. Wife is getting my LG G3. Image from Clove UK.
