Enjoying the really really fast autumn golden aura. It shoots by so quick and then BAM grey skies and winter for half a year. I’m kind of looking forward to cooler weather though. I am sure I will be regretting that statement later.
Not my image- I found this beautiful image of the XBA-H3 that I LOOOVE. The detail right across the low/mid/highs despite having a decent bass kick make these super perfect for traveling. I have little need to bring a full size set of cans unless I am missing their sound signature.
Somebody has an enviable collection- found this image of the BA and dynamic driver flagships from Sony. I’d love to hear the EX1000s one day. Premium magnesium housing on that puppy. I wish the XBA-H3 came with the same premium carrying case as the EX1000.
Somebody got a shot of the Panasonic C1 1 inch camera phone with the LG G3 beside it. As much as I like the G3, having a 1 inch sensor in my camera phone would be a no brainer. I’d love for this to come to Canada.
What is this? Vacuum tubes? We got a Best Buy gift card at our wedding and this was so beautiful I thought it would be a nice centerpiece as a wedding gift. It went on sale a third of its MSRP.
The box was freaking heavy. One of the basic indications that sound equipment is good. Usually.
The cherry finish on the wood is soooo nice. Its just a beautiful piece of kit. I’d be really torn between choosing this and the Sony SRS-X9 if they were the same price (MSRP was the same before) but at its current price, its a no brainer. The overall presentation is just fabulous.
Unboxing this sucker. Getting it out the box was crazy. It was so dense. So far sound wise I like it. Its got a set of tweeters, mid range speakers and a sub on the bottom. Everything seems clean sounding without flab. I’d probaby be hesitant to pay full MSRP though- you can get a much better sound out of other components like my AudioEngine A5+ speakers but you are missing the convenience of an all in one like this and the design.
Cafe de tropika for dinner.
This beef stew was really tough and fairly disappointing. Like beef bubble gum.
Rice rolls were pretty tender
The rice in this Hainan chicken was good, but the chicken itself was a bit tough and not as flavorful as I would have liked. Or my stupid cough/cold is masking the flavor.
Bowling on the weekend with the fam. They loved it! Its been awhile since I have gone bowling, and it was a first for my family. I decided to pick the lightest ball and whip it as hard as I could. I ended up with a speed three times the wife’s bowling speed :). I have no consistency though, so I would either destroy the pins or have the most hard hitting gutter ball in the center.
Denny’s for lunch. DENNYS????? People go here for after parties and hang overs. It shows. This was my folk’s senior plate. It looks like it came from a school cafeteria.
My breakfast omelette was fine though. Presentation was meh and totally different from the menu pictures, but the food has a good amount of meat in it and a nice kick in spice.
Horrow night with M. Jimmy the Greek take out for dinner. Lots of donair meat. Lots of red onions. Lots of happiness.
Taipan for dinner. Portuguese chicken on fried rice. My favorite…if it was beef stew.
Corn sauce on fried fish with ying yeung (coffee/milk tea)
