I am a registered psychologist, a doctoral candidate who has not graduated, a huge technology lover, a man constantly fighting off the fat, and a father.
I didn’t really document my recent VAIO accessory purchases- here’s my current work setup as I read about Circle of Security- Walkman Z1000 MDR-1R headphones/XBA3 earphones and the AC adaptor
The VGP-AC19V51 is pretty slick- it comes with a carrying case and an embossed VAIO logo- important for a fan boy like me. It also has two built in 1.5 amp USB chargers so its really useful for all the portable stuff I have. It doesn’t get as much use as I would like it to, since it is not compatible with my VAIO DUO 13 ultrabook but its a beauty with my VAIO S15. Glad I grabbed it before all the VAIO stuff stops selling here. I just like having a nice adapter for my VAIO- its like jewelry for my babe.
Before and after- the Sony Liveview on the right is a total POS and not even worth the 25 bucks I paid off eBay. The Smartwatch 2 on the other hand is very reliable and its been great using it for the past two months.
The MDR-7520 is probably my favorite set of cans right now. Its magnesium body and simple design/comfortable fit means they get a lot of use. They are kind of like a refined MDR-1R to me- still able to handle most music well but with more details. They are not really good for techno or dance though.
En route home via bus on a cold late winter’s night. I’ll be glad when we get out sunny nights back this spring.
Lunch at HoHo’s – one of my fave dishes- chicken with flat noodle. I used to hit up Ho Ho’s all the time in undergrad so it was really nice to go here with W for lunch. Plenty of food for me- but the combo meals are absolutely ginormous.
Sweet and sour mai fun for W. Having the papaya sweetened dish in Power King restaurant back in Markham was amazing. This wasn’t half bad either.
East Indian (apparently this is a bad term to use?) for dinner at WEM food court- not bad but not great either.
W got a four item combo that was pretty lame sauce.
Celebrating S’s bday a week early at Pho Express in Riverbend after a hard morning of studying at the library. Just like old times when we desperately crammed as much as we could late at night at Second Cup.
The decor is really nice here- the food didn’t quite jump out to me though. It felt a little too tame/westernized to me.
A pretty delicious coconut bubble tea for dessert. I was packed full from food here.
Corn sauce fried fish at Good Buddy. Really fresh and crispy.
My fave- XO beef stew- there is so much meat in this bowl it is ridiculous. I had enough for two meals here in this one dish. A lot of meat for me is crazy.
