Well its been grand in Toronto. I have to say as much as I like going home I’m going to really miss it here. I’ve got a great family here that made it feel like a second home to me. Lots of feels. And of course I’ve got a boatload of work waiting for me when I get back home. The good thing is that my daily achievement goals with my bros have really got me in a working mood already so I don’t think I’m going to get any smack in the face changing from vacation to work mode. I feel so much more confident with my professional skill set with my daily academic journal reading so I’m definitely getting pumped to be back in the grind. I also feel the urge to read and learn when I have down time. This is particularly important for me because I want this to be a habit that keeps my mind fresh and current with professional practice, given that I really feel I need to take more initiative in driving myself to be an excellent clinician. Whoop whoop!
I’m also going to be soooooo happy to have a gym again. It’s been pretty remarkable to me that I’ve been able to perform and gain strength in the last four weeks just from body weight exercises, particularly with my quads and butt. Tomorrow I think I’m going to have a big old chest day in the gym. Looking forward to it.
