I am a practicing clinician, a recent doctoral graduate who finally graduated school but will never leave school, a huge technology lover, a man constantly fighting off the fat, and a father.
At home at the T’s home with the most Christmassy decor and inviting atmosphere I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing
Lots of snow and lots of slush here- less ice than Alberta and more slush
Wedding dress shopping- wasn’t allowed to take photos so I had to sneak one shot off my cameraphone- one thing I’ve really come to appreciate in having a discrete camera- nobody questions you if you whip out your phone but something as small as my P7700 gets eyes and scoldings
Shopping around
Impressive size of a shark fin- and really sad thinking of this majestic apex predator reduced to a dried fin in a restaurant window with the rest of the shark discarded in the ocean- I know I’m a couch advocate but still gets to me since I think sharks are AWESOME
More shark victims.
Cheap Yonge sushi for the student budget- had all you can eat but decided to stop when it got boring instead of when I felt like throwing up
Discrete shooting at T&T Supermarket- I’ve been scodled many times when I took out both my Nikon P7700 and D90 but my Galaxy Note II didn’t get a bat of an eye. Its too bad cause this is the type of photography I enjoy most- the experience in everyday life and it usually happens in places where cameras are a no go. I love the color of these baked goods.
Noodle time- so interesting and lively to me to see these hot food stations.
The lighting makes me want to buy everything.
I love hot food stations.
BBQ meat is another one of my favorite places
Monster sized scallops
Foody Mart where I have also been yelled at before for taking pictures.
Fresh fish.
Live eel- didn’t look as appetizing as when I eat it in BBQ format.
Monster chunks of jellyfish- we don’t have this back home in Alberta.
Got an AWESOME deal on the Logitech Z553s. I’ve been eyeing these for awhile now- the super cool sideways binoculars satellites and compact size for my limited desktop area is awesome- Got it at 30% of the MSRP. I’m not as impressed with the specs – its dual drivers with some sort of dampening that makes one driver produce different frequencies (doesn’t make sense to me – why not jus thave a full range and tweeter?) but the design is AWESOME. I love it. Its red orange should also match my desktop back home. Gonna have to wait on these since I won’t be getting home for another couple weeks. I also didn’t need a monster sized sub because I can’t deck the low end too much in our home.
I also got super impressed by one of the older tai-chi practitioners I met today- his knuckles were callused to little plateaus. He told me he does four sets of 150 push ups every single day. It suddenly made my 300 push ups (declined with feet elevated off a bed) sound like crap. Really inspired to push harder and not be left behind. I also ran into L over dinner yesterday who’s clean eating made me really think about how awesome it was when I was both hitting the gym hard and eating lean and cutting like crazy. I want to be there again. I’m only hitting the exercise and ignoring the diet right now. Lots of inspiration here in Toronto.
