I am a practicing clinician, a recent doctoral graduate who finally graduated school but will never leave school, a huge technology lover, a man constantly fighting off the fat, and a father.
I took a different angle of my gaming beast of a desktop. Still really pleased with its performance, although Starcraft 2 boot up times are still ridiculously slow. Gameplay is perfectly fine though and I am having a blast with gaming right now. The cooling on this is superb and I’m definitely thinking about a mini tower to compliment it. Next write up I’ll talk about some mini ITX builds I have been psyched about. I don’t think it will ever be as good as the massive air cooling this tower provides but its a challenge I’d love to take.
A ginormous bowl of pork ribs – I think these were from Sobeys and weren’t quite as tender as the ones we usually get at T&T Supermarket.
More ribs, lettuce and some preserved meats cooked over rice.
Massive slab or more ribs. Also not as tender. I think these need to be cooked for a longer time at lower heat to break the meat down.
I love take out. Portuguese baked chicken over fried rice from Taipan.
McDonald’s for breakfast. Double hashbrowns.
It snowed for the past two weeks, signalling the multi layer jackets have to bust out.
Really pretty on the first major snow fall.
WK and I studying while repairs were happening at my place. Instant stir noodles with black bean sauce, rotisserie chicken and salad with Japanese sesame sauce. Suepr super filling and delicious. WK is on a challenge for a limited carb month so it was just me havign noodles.
Chili and dumplings for dinner. I’m in heaven! W made some canned chili mixed with fresh ground beef. Super super flavorful and the dumplings were just icing on the cake
This is ridiculous- chili, cheese, pan fried chicken thighs and rice for work lunch.
Alfredo sauce and pasta. My meals are so good thanks to W.
Had Safeway fried chicken and salad with the family for weekend get together lunch.
Studying in Southgate mall with BB pumping out my reports. And Starcraft. Actually got a lot of work done here. I am really happy with my laptop so far. I love that I have enough battery power to last a full day of work away from an outlet, but also enough gaming muscle to play SC2.
Grabbing some surprisingly good burrito things at Mac’s convenience store to fuel up my marking.
Some new work space in the Education building. I think this used to be a nursing training room. Never understood why this was in the Ed building. Nice to see more resources for Education students.
Overlooking the almost winter trees.
And for some reason a whole bunch of macbook airs. I don’t really understand why we spent so much on mobility when these are stationary desks but oh well.
Our old wood flooring tied up and ready to ship out.
I love all these delicious backed goods.
Afternoon coffee break with the pumpkin spiced muffin filled to the brim with cream. JK only the first one I had had icing cream. This is now only filled at the tip and is super disappointing.
Waffles and bagel for breakfast. No carbs left behind.
Got to see a demo PS4 in store.
And here is the demo PS4 playing! I like the new console but I couldnt buy one knowing I have a big monster PC machine I could use.
Our hospital corridor looking creepy as hell on Halloween.
Halloween potluck at work.
All the fresh snow and ice on the ground in the city.
Slippery on the ground
Fresh layer of snow
Really excited about this demo kiosk in London Drugs. Got to try a few different cans this day- the AKG K550 was really disappointing, I didn’t care for the sound at all. It really lacked any sort of musical tone to it. The SRH940 was fabulous, but I didn’t really get a good chance to hear the differences it had compared to my own SRH840. What did happen was that I went home and busted out my Shures and fell in love with them again. I forgot how they sounded cause I have been listening to the Sony MDR1Rs all the time. Much more clarity in the sound for sure. I also tried the Marshall Monitor which still looked cool in person but sounded like I supposed they would- lots of muffled bass.
I love magazine aisles in grocery stores. One of my favorite things to do is grab a mag like a PC Gamer and just crack out on it and forget the busy world around me.
Waiting for the train to goto work. I hate how they manage the train system here- they closed one side because they are replacing the tiles, but NOBODY is working on the tiles. Whats the point of closing a station if nothing is being done? Wouldn’t it be better to finish a project and move onto another one quickly instead of doing a whole bunch of them slowly?
Decorated my tiny little window at work overlooking my fantastic view of a hospital’s unwanted material.
Chicken and seasoned rice for lunch. So good.
McDonalds bacon and egg bagel for breakfast.
Mikado for C’s birthday. Had a blast with all my work friends. Roads south weren’t too bad either, as I was a little worried about driving down there.
Beef something at Mikado southend. Lots of flavor and good portion of meat.
