Wow totally forgot about this headphone amp from Sony- the PHA-1. It came out last year and since I wasn’t really interested in headphone amps, it didn’t jump out to me. Since I have suddenly rekindled my love for Sony as of late, I suddenly really want to see what its like. Reviews look great for it. Here it is with a beautiful MDR-1 headphone and Walkman Z (Soon!). I don’t like how bulky this whole set up is though.
Another photo with one of my all time favorite DAPs, the Walkman X. Love the tactile buttons on this. One of the better ones Sony has made.
Studying at a really swank McDonald’s in the Kingsway area.
Bowling on my bday! Wonderful to see my friends all together along with big O for his bday as well. Glad to see everyone- went to Emily Murphy for a lunch bbq, hit off some ten pin bowling in the only bowling alley I know in the city, had terrible bubble tea at Oops- it really is an oops- no flavor at all, dinner at Tropika that wasn’t really necessary because of the giant meat slab I had, and then card games at D’s super cozy home. Fantastic Bday.
Finally got rid of the Christmas tree after 6 months of drying out. It burned like crazy.
Company bbq in the park. So much fun with my coworkers- and terrible vegetarian hot dogs.
Corned beef hash that my lovely fiance made for work lunch.
I really regret ordering the exxtra tempura for my bday dinner with my fiance. It was way too much and kind of killed off the taste of everything.
Tried shooting black and white since the lighting was just terrible- didn’t really like this either. – rainbow roll at Shogun.
Sashimi was nice and fresh at Shogun.
Set dinner was amazing. Blackened cod is particularly good.
Intimate dining experience with cozy seating at Shogun.
This is what I looked like after bday dinner- W graciously accompanied me to World War Z with Brad Pitt, despite her outright hatred of horror movies. This movie did not follow the book at all. It didn’t even need the book at all. I don’t even get why it is tied in with the book. It was a good movie though- just totally not related to the book in any way and kind of disappointing in that sense.
Burning the tree at Emily Murphy Park.
Cooking yams and corn in the fire.
Making my huge effing rib eye steak. So freaking tender and delish.
All for me. I am so happy. I am going to be cutting down on red meat though. Sad but necessary.
Dinner at Tropika- Wasn’t really impressed by their food- after being in Singapore and Hong Kong, my tastes for southeast asian and Chinese have gone up considerably. The roti was good but not great- Phoenix in Markham is markedly better with more kick to the curry.
There’s simply no comparison between the Hainan chicken in Tropika and Phoenix. Phoenix in Markham destroys this in magnitudes of amazing.
